Actors Showcases

Don't feel disheartened and demotivated by what can seem like a lack of opportunity in an increasingly overcrowded industry. Take your career into your own hands and get seen by the people that can get you work!

We have been producing actors showcases since 2006.

We only do 2 a year (1 in the Autumn, 1 in the Spring). This ensures we maintain a consistently high standard and for that reason we have built a reputation for quality.

Information about what we do

We hold auditions to ensure that standards are maintained, but also that we have a diverse group of performers involved to give everyone the best opportunity.

Having completed casting, we meet in a relaxed and informal atmosphere as a company to read a variety of scenes. We ask that each actor brings 1-3 suggestions of dualogues to that reading so that by the end of the afternoon people will be paired up and in most cases scenes chosen. We recommend that everyone does dualogues rather than monologues as in our experience casting directors and agents much prefer to see you interact with another performer.  If you are struggling to find a suitable scene, there’s no need to panic - we will have plenty of suggestions

Once scenes are chosen, an experienced professional director will rehearse your piece with you at a central London rehearsal room

We will send out 400 e-mail invitations to agents and casting directors 8 weeks before the showcase

We will send out 600 postal invitations to agents and casting directors 1 month before the showcase. [See example flyer]

A final e-mail reminder will be sent out the week before the showcase

A link to your spotlight CV will be on our website for agents and casting directors to browse

We will also provide you with a batch of flyer invitations to include in your personal letters

Your CV, photograph and contact details will appear in our programmes

You'll have a tech and dress and two performances at the Soho Theatre

We'll serve wine and nibbles to the showcase attendees

Finally, we'll email you a list of attendees after the showcase
