About Us
Emma Keele set up reduced circumstances to create a forum for talented, hard-working and like-minded artists to collaborate, explore and play, with a view to developing and showcasing the resulting new ideas.
The company has produced the world premieres of two new plays at the Edinburgh Festival, mounted a UK and International tour, and presented two new-writing festivals and eight actors showcases.
In London, the company has produced work at the Soho, Jermyn Street, Leicester Square, Old Red Lion, Landor and Etcetera theatres. Their showcase work alone has provided a platform for nearly two hundred actors, twelve new writers, twelve up-and-coming directors and one very busy designer!
The Company
Mission Statement
reduced circumstances believe that ‘low-budget’ does not have to mean a compromise in production standards or professional values. Our mission is to present thought-provoking and innovative productions of either new or unknown/forgotten works that may have slipped out of the public consciousness. We actively seek to provide an environment that gives talented artists (be they writers, actors, directors, or designers) the opportunity to develop their skills, whilst also providing them with an opportunity to showcase their ideas in order to aid them to the next level of their profession.
Thank you to our Angels...
