About Us

Emma Keele set up reduced circumstances to create a forum for talented, hard-working and like-minded artists to collaborate, explore and play, with a view to developing and showcasing the resulting new ideas.

The company has mounted two successful new-writing festivals and six actors showcases at the Soho Theatre Studio and the Jermyn Street Theatre –which provided a platform for seventy actors, twelve new writers, twelve up-and-coming directors and one very busy designer!

Mission Statement

reduced circumstances believe that ‘low-budget’ does not have to mean a compromise in production standards or professional values. Our mission is to present thought-provoking and innovative productions of either new or unknown/forgotten works that may have slipped out of the public consciousness. We actively seek to provide an environment that gives talented artists (be they writers, actors, directors, or designers) the opportunity to develop their skills, whilst also providing them with an opportunity to showcase their ideas in order to aid them to the next level of their profession.
